If you'd like to learn how Amazon operates, innovates, and became an invention machine, here are three books I recommend.
1. The Everything Store, by Brad Stone: This is a fun read with many insider stories, covering Amazon's origins, growth, mistakes, and evolution. Brad Stone has followed Amazon for years as a respected tech journalist.
2. Working Backwards, by Colin Bryar and Bill Carr: Written by former Amazon executives, this explains why and how Amazon invented many of their operating mechanisms. *Every new Amazon employee will especially benefit from reading this.*
3. Think Like Amazon: 50 1/2 Ideas to Become a Digital Leader, by John Rossman: Practical and with real-world examples from John's executive tenure at Amazon, it asks questions (instead of prescribing generic solutions) to help you think like Amazon.
P.S: Today is my three year anniversary at Amazon! It has been one of the most enriching/rewarding experiences of my career. The books are from my home library. #amazon #aws
